MSC The Butcher’s Cut Reviews

We’d heard so many good things about The Butcher’s Cut, so on our MSC cruise we decided to try it for one evening and it turned out to be one of our favorite dining experiences onboard. The restaurant had a warm, inviting glow, soft lighting, candles on every table, and that comforting aroma of grilled steak in the air.

Our server welcomed us with a friendly smile and made sure we were comfortable right away. From the start, the service felt smooth and attentive without being rushed, just what you’d want for a romantic dinner.

When it comes to food, The Butcher’s Cut really delivers their best, not only at dinner but even during breakfast service which we tried on another morning. The quality and presentation stayed consistent, every dish looked as good as it tasted.

MSC the butcher's cut reviews

We shared the Caesar salad as our starter which was creamy and flavorful, though I secretly wished it had a bit more crunch. For our main course, I went with the filet mignon, tender and perfectly cooked, while Zoe chose the ribeye, juicy and full of flavor with that perfect char on the outside. Every bite reminded us why The Butcher’s Cut is known for its steaks.

To complement our meal, I enjoyed a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, smooth and rich, while Zoe sipped her Old Fashioned, which she said was one of the best she’d had on the ship. We ended the evening with a cheesecake that was light and creamy, the perfect sweet finish.

Even as the restaurant filled up, the atmosphere stayed calm and intimate. The soft candlelight and relaxed pace made it one of those dinners you don’t want to end.

For us, The Butcher’s Cut was more than just a meal, it was a lovely romantic experience that became one of our favorite memories from the cruise. Great food, attentive service, and that beautiful ambiance made it a night to remember.
