Reservation was not required at Carnival Seafood Shack as it operated on a first-come, first-served basis. We simply ordered at the counter. Since seating was limited and we realized that visiting early helped us avoid long waits.

Is Carnival Seafood Shack Worth It?

Carnival Seafood Shack menu features dishes like lobster rolls, clam chowder, fried shrimp, and crab legs. Some items such as buffalo shrimp and crab meat are praised for freshness and flavor, but others like the lobster rolls receive criticism for being underwhelming and sparse in filling.

Prices are a la carte, making it an affordable option compared to fine dining onboard, but some market-priced items like crab can be costly. The ambiance is casual with ocean views, but the location on the busy lido deck may not suit those seeking a quieter meal

Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re craving seafood in a casual setting, but the quality can be hit-or-miss depending on your selection.

Carnival Seafood Shack Reviews

No doubt we are foodies, but at the same time we like to keep things balanced and try different options on every cruise. On our Carnival Vista, Zoe and I couldn’t resist stopping by the Seafood Shack.

I ordered the lobster roll with fries and a cold beer, which turned out buttery, fresh, and filling. Zoe went for fried shrimp with clam chowder, and she kept saying how good and comforting it was. We also shared a platter of crab legs with dipping sauces and lemon, which ended up being my personal favorite. Messy for sure, but worth every bite.

Other cruisers have shared their own favorites too. Some say the lobster roll has become a tradition for them at the end of every cruise.

Many seafood fans highlighted the crab legs served with butter and seasoning, calling them one of the best indulgences onboard. A few guests mentioned mixing shrimp and crab legs together on one platter, describing it as the ultimate feast. Others liked lighter picks such as crab cake sliders or fish tacos, usually paired with tropical drinks like piña coladas or rum punch.

Carnival Seafood Shack Reviews

Based on our own experience, Zoe and I would recommend the Seafood Shack to anyone who enjoys fresh seafood on a cruise. If you’re a picker who loves cracking crab legs or a true seafood lover looking for lobster rolls and shrimp baskets, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Don’t miss it if seafood is your thing.
